Our Highest Paying Travel Nursing Specialties Right Now

ride the wave

Travel nursing pay can change from location to location, from hiring facility to hiring facility and even from day to day. Pay rates can fluctuate based on the competitive environment.

For example, how many qualified RNs in a given specialty are within hiring distance -- and willing to switch locales? Sometimes the pay rates change based on health conditions in a particular area. Is the population aging? Is it burgeoning with new pediatric patients? Is there an outbreak of a disease that requires a certain skill set?

If you've been traveling long enough, you know that pay rates can be a bit of a roller coaster. But be assured that even when pay rates in your specialty are not at the top of the hill, there will come a time when they will climb back up.
