ARE YOU DUE FOR A RESOLUTION REVOLUTION? |
| |
Travel Nurse Health & Wellness • |
| |
How travel nursing (yes!) can help you keep your resolutions |
|
| |
January 1st marks the end of the holiday season, and the beginning of a fresh new year. And for most
of us, January 1st is the day we resolve to make big lifestyle changes. Funny, despite all our good intentions, it seems like the same resolutions keep coming up again and again. This year, why not let a travel nursing assignment help you achieve your goals?
|
Don't believe us? Whether your goal is to get fit, get wealthy, or get a better job, we can show you (with a wink and a smile) how 50 States can help you accomplish any resolution you're likely to make. |
|
| |
YOUR 2008 RESOLUTIONS - DONE! |
| | Improve Your Finances
Factor in the top salaries, bonuses, free private housing and health insurance, and travel nurses can earn far more than their non-traveling counterparts. |
|
|
| |
Get Healthy and Fit - Travel nursing can take you to places where an active, healthy lifestyle is part of the daily program. Skiing in Colorado, windsurfing in the Carolinas, hiking in Oregon or rollerblading in California: you'll be energized to see and do it all in your new location.
|
|
Learn Something New - Travel nursing introduces you to new equipment
and new procedures. What you learn will improve your skills and make you a more
valuable employee. |
Spend More Time with Family and Friends
You can travel with family, friends or even a pet!
Exploring new places together can enrich your relationships. |
Meet New People
Working together is one of the most natural, and fastest, ways to get to know new people. Travel nursing will allow you to meet people from all over the country, in all their fascinating diversity. |
|
|
| Help Others - Nursing and the allied professions are, by nature, about caring for other people. Refresh yourself by working with new people in new environments. |
| |
Take More Trips
Is there an easier way to achieve this goal than travel nursing?
With 50 States covering your housing, your relocation allowance, your insurance and your licensure, it's like you're on a paid vacation to see the country! |

TRY IT! |
| SPOTLIGHT
ON TRAINING |
|
| Online Education • |
|
| |
Should you try online learning? |
|
| |
Online learning is ideal for travel nurses. Furthering your career with continuing education online is a smart idea. Just pack up your laptop and you can complete your studies anywhere. Online training can help you earn more money, grow your skill set, and even move into
management.
Virtual learning is here to stay. According to recent surveys, one in five college students is currently taking at least one online course.
50 States provides unlimited annual CEU credits to our travel nurses. High-quality curriculum meets high tech with more than 400 CE courses. |
All 50 States Staffing courses offer real time testing and printable CEU certificates. They also meet State Board of Nursing Requirements and include The Joint Commission-related and APN quality subjects. 50 States can even manage your CE Direct account in-house so service is instant and there's no waiting for certificates.
Online learning requires a unique commitment in time and energy. Below, you'll find a few tips to help you get the most out of the experience: |
|
| |
|
|
|
| |
| |
5 TOP TIPS FOR ONLINE LEARNING |
|
| |
1. Be open minded. Online coursework is not necessarily easier than traditional classroom learning. Many students find it actually requires more time and discipline. High quality learning is happening all over cyberspace. |
|
| |
2. Have access to the right equipment.
You'll need a computer, the required software and an internet connection.
And you'll need a quiet spot for studying. If you can tune out the kids,
the dog, and the customers at the coffee shop, great. But most
of us need a private study area. |
|
| |
3. Participate! You'll get more out of your coursework if you speak up. Contribute to live chats, read what fellow students have posted, and — above all — let the instructor know if you're just not getting it. That's what they're there for. |
|
| |
4. Get comfortable with written communication.
Accept that your writing and typing doesn't have to be perfect, and that you'll improve with practice. (You knew that all that texting and IM'ing was good for something!) Because of the delays in online chatting, you'll find it helps
to re-read your comments before you hit "Submit"— just to be sure your remarks make sense. |
|
| |
5. Be disciplined. Make a schedule and stick with it.
Calendar all your important course dates, such as exams and study groups.
The freedom of online learning means that you also have to be
personally responsible. It can be difficult to catch up if you fall behind. Once
you've completed your coursework, be sure to congratulate yourself
on a job well done. Post your certificates and degrees, and bask in the glow!
