Travel nursing has given us the opportunity to travel to exciting places where we can explore and enjoy life to the fullest! 

My wife and I are 40 something RN's with an empty nest (ie...the kids are grown) and a new lease on life.  Travel nursing has given us the opportunity to get travel nurse assignments to exciting places where we can explore and enjoy life to the fullest.  Even our dog is happier! 

When other travel nursing companies told us that we did not have enough experience and it was too early to begin looking for nurse assignments our traveling nurse recruiter at 50 States Staffing, got us three interviews with interesting hospitals in geographic locations where we wanted to go live.  Now we are making more money, our rent and utilities are paid, and my wife even gets an extra thousand a month housing stipend because she's living in my free apartment. 

And our apartment rocks!  We're a mile from the Blue Ridge Parkway in Asheville, North Carolina, where there are awesome trails for hiking and jogging and unreal views from the highest peak east of the Mississippi River (Mount Mitchell). Our apartment has a great fitness center, pool, tennis courts, free carwash, business center and tons of parking.  We're convenient to everything including work. 

The hospital and the units we're working on are wonderful and the people are friendly. Our orientation was thorough. Even the food in the hospital is great if you can believe that. We're excited about other travel nurse assignments in the country we can travel and explore, learn, and grow! 

Thanks to 50 States Staffing we are now living our dream life and earning great income!

Traveling together on her first travel nurse job Lydia Landis finds “semi-retirement” in travel nursing

Even after my husband and I retired to San Carlos Panama, I wanted to maintain my level of competency and keep my nursing skills current. I knew travel nursing was an option, but I wasn't sure who to talk to first.
