Known as the LOBIN, short for “Locating and biomonitoring by means of Wireless Networks in Hospitals,” this smart shirt was developed by researches in Spain at la Universidad Carlos III Madrid—and its making global headlines as a game changer, given the various areas it’s changing for the better, like early diagnosis of cardiac anomalies in athletes and monitoring patients in their homes; this last item is significant for patients especially, since it lessens their time spent in the hospital.
